Synopsis "Affectionately yours - Grace Storey Putnam: Letters from the designer of the Bye-Lo Baby (in English)"

In Affectionately Yours - Grace, we meet Grace Storey Putnam through her letters, in her own voice. She shares her life, wisdom, insights, and inspiration with her dear friends, Belle and John, encouraging John's business ideas and Belle's art and motherhood. Grace lived through the hardships and rewards of a young artist's life, with her husband, Arthur Putnam, now a celebrated sculptor. She counted artists Gutzon Borglum, Bruce Porter, Gottardo Piazzoni, Jack London, and many others among her friends and supporters. She became a successful business woman with her Bye-Lo Baby Doll, nicknamed the "Million Dollar Baby". Facing deprivation again during the Great Depression, she kept a positive attitude and found creative solutions to the challenges she faced. She was a supportive friend, mother, and, later, wife and partner to another sculptor, Eugene Morahan. In her letters, Grace opines on women's issues, fashion, art, literature, diet, family - interests common to women of all ages and eras.
