Synopsis "America Chithi (in Oriya)"

This book is a collection of articles written over two decades (1985-2005) and published regularly in the daily newspaper "Samaj". The book title is taken from the same name "America Chithi" (Letter from America) used for the Samaj publication. The then editor of Samaj, Dr. Radhanath Rath had suggested that a regular communication like this would be beneficial to people of Odisha. In his honor the effort started with the auxiliary benefit of keeping the practice of writing in Odia language. The articles have no specific goal other than informing people about various experiences and observations. They are divided into several categories such as Life of Odias in America, Travelogues, Science and Technology, International Events, Spirituality, etc. Today information is easily available at your fingertips via Google, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and cell phones. This book preceded all that and these articles were the only way to disseminate information via the print media. Hopefully readers will enjoy these writings from another era.
