Daher ist die Bewertung familiärer Verbundenheit, sozialer Mobilität, sozialräumlicher Realität und muslimischer Religiosität kritisch zu hinterfragen. Der Band untersucht die familiäre Verbundenheit als begründete Reaktion auf die Lebenswirklichkeit von Migrationsfamilien, die soziale Mobilität vom "Bildungsaufstieg" isoliert und ihr die transnational aufgespannte familiäre Anerkennungsstruktur entgegenhält. Enttarnt wird die sozialräumliche Segregation als konstruierte Wirklichkeit. Dieser Konstruktion setzt die Autorin durch ein "Doing-Plural-Communities" ein Konzept der gelebten Diversität entgegen.
