Synopsis "Bridging Two Worlds: Memories and Reflections"

A set of autobiographical short stories (in chronological order) from the author's life. The vignettes cover the period from WWII, through tough years under communism and the Hungarian Revolution to the author's escape to the U.S. Then follow 45 years in the U.S., including some sketches of the Vietnam War. The remainder is about life in Hungary after returning there in 2000. About the Author - Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1938. Educated in gimnazium (high school) and studued Engineering at the Technical University. Participated in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, was twice wounded and escaped to the U.S. There, after the first tough years, graduated from Stanford University with a degree in English Literature and served as a naval officer on three tours of duty in the Vietnam War on a destroyer. After that, he graduated from Stanford Law School and taught and practiced law in California.
