Four people walk the roads of Spain at its glorious peak in 1539, each rejected by society and fleeing from something: a woman wants to escape her past, a young girl leaves her childhood behind, a black albino man is marked by his condition, and an eccentric young man searches for love. Their hidden pasts unite them on the adventures--some happy, some painful, all exciting--that punctuate their journey. But just as in a labyrinth of mirrors, everything is not always as it seems, and the fates of the four heroes are resolved in unexpected ways. Cuatro personas recorren a pie los caminos de la España gloriosa y en plena expansión de 1539, rechazadas por la sociedad y huyendo de algo: una mujer busca escapar de su pasado, una niña deja atrás a la infancia, un hombre negro está marcado por su condición de albino y un joven estrafalario busca el amor. Sus pasados ocultos los unen en las aventuras--alegres unas, dolorosas otras, trepidantes todas--que salpican su viaje.
