Este trabalho apresenta contribuições para um diagnóstico da situação do e-lixo nas IES na cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes-RJ. A análise dos dados verificou velhas práticas de descarte e acúmulo de e-lixo nestas instituições. Como proposta de solução, sugere-se um centro piloto de armazenagem e triagem que se ocuparia do e-lixo das IES, inspirado nos resultados e experiências, de sucesso, reportados pela literatura, identificando os setores da logística reversa necessários para a cadeia de reuso/reciclagem destes materiais.
