Synopsis "D'Une Rive a l'Autre: Circulations Et Echanges Entre La Mauretanie Cesarienne Et Le Sud-Est de l'Hispanie (Antiquite-Moyen-Age) (in French)"
Geographically, Algeria is largely open to the western Mediterranean. However, its links with neighbouring regions are poorly understood. Until now, research into these relationships has focused on particular chronological periods, themes or limited geographical areas. This book is the result of a symposium organized in 2017 that aimed to analyse networks between this part of the Maghreb and the south-east of the Iberian Peninsula, investigating their dynamics from a multidisciplinary and diachronic perspective, from the pre-Roman period to the Middle Ages. Based on archaeological, epigraphic and textual data, the aim is to identify these contacts. Written by researchers from both shores, the papers revolve around three themes: mobility; economic exchange; and cultural and knowledge transfer.
