After the events of Chaos Theory, Connor Randall moves to Tokyo, Japan. When his boss dies mysteriously, Connor stumbles onto something puzzling in a vast collection of strange documents. They survive now as data-mining businesses, statistical firms, actuarial companies, and demographics corporations, moving from nation to nation every few years to conceal their true purpose: covertly ruling the world with their prediction engines, statistical matrices, and mathematical equations. And they will kill to protect their secrets. When Connor discovers his conspiracy theory supported by vast amounts of buried evidence, he realizes that something very dangerous is going on.
