This six-year-old child was put in a position that she never forgot that shaped the person that she became. Even though Clara was only six years old, she was smart beyond her years; and while she loved her family, she had already determined that the life she was going to have was going to be totally different from the life she was experiencing thus far. R. Jay Berry is the bestselling author, educator, storyteller, and speaker. She began her writing journey after a thirty year career at the Dallas Independent School District and retiring as Executive Director of Academic Services.
