L'humanisme a la Corona D'arago (Scripta Humanistica) (in Catalá)
Julia Butinya (Edt) Jimenez
Synopsis "L'humanisme a la Corona D'arago (Scripta Humanistica) (in Catalá)"
We are pleased to announce our new Catalan series within the Scripta Humanistica collection with this prestigious volume, L'Humanisme a la Corona d'Aragó. The meaning and even the existence of a humanistic movement in the crown of Aragon have been recently put in question by some critics. This book engages in that discussion by exploring the topic of Humanism in the Crown of Aragon in the 14th through 16th centuries. In their introduction, Júlia Butinyà and Antonio Cortijo provide a general frame within which to explore the multifaceted forms of that movement. The contributions to this volume analyze from a comparative perspective, the relevance of Humanism in the Crown of Aragon and its authors, works, periods, and topics within the more general context of Humanism in Europe and the Iberian Peninsula.
