Synopsis "Luise Rinser und Lama Anagarika Govinda (in German)"

Luise Rinser (1911-2002) gehörte mit Romanen wie "Mitte des Lebens" und "Abenteuer der Tugend" zu den meist beachteten deutschen Autorinnen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Über die Wirkung als Schriftstellerin hinaus fand ihr gesellschaftliches, religiöses und politisches Engagement starke Beachtung. 1984 war sie Kandidatin für das Amt des deutschen Bundespräsidenten. 1972 lernte Rinser in Rom den in Indien lebenden Anagarika Govinda (1898-1985) kennen, den gebürtigen Sachsen, der zum tibetischen Lama wurde und durch seinen Bestseller "Der Weg der wei en Wolken" Berühmtheit erlangte. Beide ma en ihrem Zusammentreffen eine Bedeutung bei. Govinda hielt die Begegnung mit Rinser für "mehr als einen blo en Zufall." Rinser sah in Govinda "einen geistesmächtigen Freund," der sie "aus der Ferne leise lenkt."
