Lizzy Yardley, a designer of wedding gowns, relocates to a small, picturesque town to cut her business losses caused by family problems. She slogs day and night to stock her wedding boutique in an effort to get back on her feet, but mysterious and dangerous incidents set her back severely and she has no idea why they are happening. She cannot even suggest why to the police. Reluctantly, she has to accept the help of Tony Franklyn, her wealthy, patriarchal landlord who, according to local gossip, is suffering the painful loss of his girlfriend who was recently killed in Paris. Lizzy is not looking for a man, but there is a definite attraction brewing between them.
