Der Auftakt-Band der Reihe "Padagogik im Autismusspektrum" befasst sich zunachst mit sozial- und erziehungswissenschaftlichen Perspektiven auf das Konzept Neurodiversitat. Darauf aufbauend wendet es sich dann padagogischen und didaktischen Anschlussen zu und bezieht sich anschliessend auf partizipative (Autismus-)Forschung als eine Hauptforderung der Neurodiversitatsbewegung. Ferner wird ein Einblick in erste interdisziplinare Neurodiversitatsforschungen gegeben. Da der deutschsprachige wissenschaftliche Diskurs erst am Anfang steht und bislang fast ausschliesslich die Neuro-Minderheit autistischer Personen umfasst, sind 'Betroffene' in diesem Band besonders zahlreich vertreten.
