This book is a collection of genealogical and historical records covering such things as: Land Grants, Tax records, Birth, Death, and Marriage records for early Albemarle County, the original gateway to the present State of North Carolina. The author has also included Biographical Sketches on: Barrett, Bryan, Cotton, Crudup, Dawson, Edwards, Hardy, Hunt, Lawrence, McKinnie, Marshall, Martin, Robinson, Rogers, Scowen, Sherer, Thomas, West, and Whitfield.
