Synopsis "Siegfried et le Limousin (in French)"

Ce roman commence en janvier 1922. Le narrateur apprend qu'un célèbre juriste allemand, Siegfried von Kleist, est en réalité l'un de ses amis, l'écrivain Forestier. Pendant la guerre, une blessure a rendu Forestier amnésique. Forestier a été recueilli et a poursuivi sa vie sous un nom tout différent.Le narrateur part donc pour Munich, où il peut identifier Forestier avec l'aide du baron Zelten. Toutefois, ce voyage le replonge dans ses souvenirs d'étudiant, et plusieurs autres aventures arrivent. Le narrateur traverse l'Allemagne revancharde d'après la Première guerre mondiale. Finalement, le narrateur rentre dans le Limousin, sa région natale, en compagnie de Forestier, où ils comptent vivre une vie paisible.
