Like him, we can't see that destruction lies ahead unless Yeshua points it out to us. We've been trained our entire lives to see only what we want to see, just as Sha'ul was. It's not until God uses the Light of the World to grab our attention that we have the opportunity to see and accept the truth: our sins lead us to death, separation from Him eternally and death in every form here on earth.The Messiah is the detour sign on our road to Damascus, a.k.a. destruction. God uses Yeshua (Jesus) to help us make a U-turn on this road and walk toward life, life forever in His presence and life in its fullest measure in this age. Times change, people change, but God does not change. His will for us is the same as it was when He sent His Son to die for our sins: He wishes that none would be lost.
