Claudia Piñeiro nació en el Gran Buenos Aires en 1960. Es escritora, dramaturga, guionista de televisión y colaboradora de distintos medios gráficos. Ha publicado las novelas Las viudas de los jueves, Tuya, Elena sabe, Las grietas de Jara, Betibú, Un comunista en calzoncillos, Una suerte pequeña, Las maldiciones, Catedrales y El tiempo de las moscas. En 2018, Alfaguara publicó sus cuentos reunidos en Quién no, y en 2021, en Argentina, un volumen con sus obras de teatro, Cuánto vale una heladera y otros textos de teatro.
