(1917-2008) Escritor y científico inglés. Fue presidente de la Sociedad Interplanetaria Británica, miembro de la Academia Astronáutica, de la Real Sociedad Astronómica y de muchas organizaciones científicas. Tiene un gran número de libros de su autoría, traducidos a treinta idiomas.
