In Paris, the City of Light, two people with nothing to lose will find the love they need to live. Elizabeth travels to Paris for one last chance to experience the life she locked away in a room of her own paintings. In Paris, Elizabeth meets a doctor escaping his own secrets, who seems determined to help her solve a mystery that has followed her to Parish. Is he seeking a lasting romance or a distraction from the demons of his work? Elizabeth's days are filled with a sweet, budding romance touring the sights of Paris. But at night, in her dreams, she journeys through an endless garden maze, where she meets people who will help her solve a mystery that has arrived in the form of letters that arrives with no return address: An astronomer searching for forgiveness, an artist searching for immortality, and a mother searching for revenge. What she will eventually find is a Map of Heaven that will change her life. As Elizabeth's dreams progress, she travels back in time to a small Midwestern town, follows a Parisian tunnel down to the depths of Hell, and eventually reaches a sandy beach offering a possible glimpse of Heaven. In a cruel twist, for her life to be spared, Elizabeth is required to give up everything that has brought her so much joy, including the man she loves. Which will she choose?
