How does memory work? These and other questions are what the prominent neuroscientist Pedro Maldonado has heard in classrooms, at conferences, and even in his own home. Given the interest and curiosity aroused by the most complex system in the universe, Maldonado decided to address these questions, pointing out that, for example, different areas of the brain do not fulfill a single function, that the "Mozart effect" is nothing more than a "neuromyth," or that the visual experience is a mental construct. This, with the purpose of sharing everything he knows about this amazing and complex biological machine, capable of performing countless different functions and that is what makes us, above all, diverse and unique as people.
