Carolyn Pierce is a concerned American from Kansas who doesn't like what she sees happening to her country. Living in the farmlands of Kansas isn't much different from her upbringing on the plains of eastern Colorado. Gardening is one of her passions that she fondly says is "dirt therapy" when life seems to be going crazy. Her connection to the lifestyle of farming, keeps her grounded in her faith in God. Devotion to family and self-sufficiency are her main stays in life. Her desire for writing this fictional series is her attempt to help preserve the American way of life for future generations.
