El presente volumen da cuenta de la prolífica obra del artista gráfico chileno Alejandro Fauré (1865-1912). Dibujante, diseñador y caricaturista, en Fauré se combinan las influencias del art nouveau con un estilo muy propio que supo dar cuenta del tono de una época marcada por el cambio de siglo en nuestro país. Carteles, avisos publicitarios y dibujos de prensa son solo parte del material reunido por las autoras Mariana Muñoz y María Fernanda Villalobos. A ello se suman los testimonios de familiares y cercanos, así como material inédito del artista. El trabajo constituye, de este modo, un valioso intento por reconstruir hitos tal vez desconocidos de la memoria visual chilena.
