Der Platzmangel im häuslichen Umfeld sowie die begrenzte Fähigkeit, günstige Bedingungen für das Wachstum und die Entwicklung von Pflanzen zu schaffen, sind Faktoren, die den Anbau im heutigen städtischen Lebensstil erschweren. Kostengünstige Automatisierungstechnologien, unter denen der Arduino als Mikrocontroller hervorsticht, ermöglichen eine Optimierung der Pflanzenproduktion in kleinem Ma stab. Ziel dieser Arbeit war die Entwicklung von Geräten mit automatischer Steuerung von Variablen wie Bewässerung, Beleuchtung, Luftzirkulation und Temperatur, die den Anbau von Gemüse und Gewürzpflanzen in Innenräumen unter Verwendung der Arduino-Prototyping-Plattform ermöglichen.
