Synopsis "Back to Orchard Street: Book Three in the Adventures of the Orchard Street Gang series (in English)"

Dave, a twelve-year-old student in a Christian school, begins summer vacation with problems that make him worry all summer. Will his mom find a job? Will the family have enough money to live on? Dave becomes sick before school starts. Will he recover in time for basketball tryouts? Will he have to leave Orchard Street School and go to public school? When it comes to Dave's job, he also wonders how he should spend his money. Readers will wonder why Dave is such a worrier! This is the third chapter in the Orchard Street Gang series. Jacqueline Vater Warner was born in northern Kentucky and lived there most of her life. She graduated in 1973 from Northern Kentucky University with a BA degree in secondary education, and in 1983 with a MS degree in secondary education. She taught for several years in public school and the Weekday School of Religion. In 1976, she began teaching at Orchard Street Christian School, where she taught for 25 years. Since retirement in 2001, she cared for her disabled husband until his death in 2007. Afterward she devoted herself to writing, winning several awards for poetry and short stories. The author has written six books since 2012, most of them concerning in some way people who lived in Northern Kentucky. Although fiction, this book is based on things her students said and did in her class. The names and details have been changed. "Those students, now grown, were a great bunch of kids, and I miss them." Publisher's website: http: //sbpra.com/JacquelineVaterWarner
