BADD: Book 1: Menace to hero Book 1 is the first in what I hope will be a series of twelve. To date one-hundred and seventy-five stories have been written. BADD: Book 1: Menace to hero comprises 14 chapter-stories most of which have been illustrated as if by a child. They are signed by my anti-hero Barry V Badd. Even Adults will be thoroughly entertained as they follow Barry's progress. He is larger than life, adventuous, curious, inventive, accident prone, loves animals, hates cruelty. You will like him. But he is in constant trouble, "My name is a jinx!" he moans. Follow him as he learns many of life's hard lessons. Barry proved extremely popular with children in class and for teachers there is an Appendix with probing questions and projects for each chapter. The author has three children and four grandchildren. As a child he lived in a castle and had many interesting pets. He is an inventor and had a fascinating job doing research. His reason for writing BADD is that he so enjoyed the 'Just William' books by Richmal Crompton.
