Synopsis "Baylor Prayers (in English)"
I was honored to write the foreword for Reverend Dan Scott's first book of Baylor Prayers back in 2012. At the time, I had been at Baylor for three years, and Reverend Scott and I had been through a great deal during our short time together; indeed, I had already been awestruck by Dan's gift for finding "just the right words" no matter the circumstance. Since that time, Dan has become a dear friend and spiritual mentor in addition to his official role as Chaplain. This spring, Dan will retire from Baylor having blessed us immeasurably in so many ways, including by invoking prayer at meaningful moments in our institutional life. This is another collection of prayers from those moments. For anyone who loves our school, I believe you will find truth and the love of God in these words.I have learned so much from Dan Scott, and I am more grateful than I can express for his shepherding our Baylor flock in such a profoundly loving way all these years.God bless & GBR!Scott Wilson '75Headmaster
