Es la vibrante poesía de unas mujeres atribuladas que se vieron obligadas a luchar contra las restricciones de la cultura, de la familia y de la educación imperantes en la Norteamérica de los años 50 y 60 para desarrollar su talento artístico. Hubo mujeres. Aunque a veces no lograran salir del segundo plano del encuadre, sí hubo mujeres. En las páginas de este libro está la evidencia más rotunda.
