Synopsis "Bio-Targeting-Studie zu Pflanzenextrakten mit parodontaler Anwendung (in German)"

Die Parodontalerkrankung ist eine infektiöse, schmerzlose und langsam fortschreitende Erkrankung der Mundhöhle mit weltweit hoher Inzidenz. Zu der damit verbundenen pathogenen Flora gehört das anaerobe Bakterium Porphyromonas gingivalis, das auch als Auslöser von Koronarläsionen, Lungenentzündung und Präeklampsie in Verbindung gebracht wurde. In dieser Studie wurden vier Pflanzenarten aus Nordmexiko analysiert: Krameria ramosissima, Larrea tridentata, Jatropha dioica und Leucophyllum frutescens, aus denen ihre Extrakte durch kontinuierliche Extraktion mit Methanol als Lösungsmittel gewonnen wurden. Für die aktivsten Verbindungen wurden Zytotoxizitäts- und Mutagenitätstests durchgeführt.
