Brian the Brain, el niño telépata con poderes telequinésicos y el cerebro a flor de piel, apareció por primera vez por entregas en 1990 y su primera aventura, que acabó en 1993, fue recogida en un tomo en 2005. Seis años después apareció la novela gráfica sobre su juventud, Motor Lab Monqi, donde el personaje se había convertido en una cobaya humana del laboratorio Biolab.
