Synopsis "Canyon of Wild Horses (in English)"

The long awaited sequel to " e Castle Rock Legend" opens with the older brother, Wes, observing the action of a small herd of wild horses down on a canyon floor. Wes had recently bought the wild rough land surrounding the canyon. After a short time, his younger brother, Jim, joins him in partnership of the new ranch land. The two brothers investigate the land and discover several intriguing parts of current and past history.Additional characters emerge, helping give quality and suspense to the moving story. This is is another Wyoming tale that will keep you, the reader, turning pages to follow the development of the story.I could tell by the movement of his eyes and his softly snorting the big stallion was nervous. But he stood his ground as I did mine. Slowly, I took an apple from my vest pocket and reaching out, I handed it toward him. My hand, holding the apple, was now inches from his nose. He sni ed the air between his nose and the apple. Finally, he stretched his neck far enough to cautiously take the apple from my hand with his teeth. He held the apple in his mouth without eating it. He was concentrating on me, watching to see what I was going to do. I slowly lowered my extended arm down to my side and just stood there. He and I were eyeballing each other. During this brief period of time, I was admiring one of the nest mustangs I have ever seen. He seemed to be perfect in stature. He also appeared to be very mild of manner. He had taken the apple from my hand very gently. Perhaps that was caution for his part; caution to not hurt me. Time will tell on that.
