Synopsis "Cenizas"

Cenizas se inicia con el viaje de Alex, una adolescente enferma que, tras haber perdido toda esperanza de recuperación, decide atravesar a solas los fríos bosques de Waucamaw. Pero por el camino se topa con un anciano y su nieta Ellie, una niña destrozada porque acaba de perder a su padre en la guerra de Irak. Justo cuando Alex está a punto de dejarlos atrás, un zumbido comienza a extenderse por el lugar y un fuerte dolor se apodera de Alex. Entonces todo se vuelve extraño: pájaros muertos llueven del cielo, el chirrido se intensifica, los aparatos electrónicos dejan de funcionar...Cuando por fin el dolor cesa, el abuelo ha muerto y Alex está sola con Ellie. Y en el bosque se oyen disparos.
