Synopsis "Cleansing the Darkness: Book One: The Containment Facility (in English)"
In the year 2063, humans have discovered the existence of 'Unnaturals'. All the creatures of folklore and myth are real: vampires, witches, demons, and all the other monsters of your nightmares. They have been living amongst us, since the dawn of mankind... They're your friends, your neighbors, your family members... They're out there, and they're stronger than us, faster than us, and many of them prey on us to survive... And humans are terrified. Measures have been taken for the protection of the human race, however. Laws have been passed, and policies have been put in place. Procedures have been enacted to uncover these predators, and all Unnaturals are to be detained to facilities, specially equipped to handle them...Solana Rivera is your average high school band geek. Her greatest passions are her oboe, getting into her beloved Tulane University after graduation, and the two guys she has crushes on. She's studious, she's dedicated, and she's one-hundred-percent normal... a.k.a. boring... After one particularly sucky Friday, though, Solana decides to change that. Taking a schoolmate up on a spontaneous invitation, Solana joins a group of kids- including both her crushes- for a bit of pre-game partying in the woods behind the football field. When the party gets busted, Solana and her classmates are taken into custody and, per new law enforcement protocol, field-tested for Unnaturalness... Solana thinks little of the simple finger-prick test... that is, until comes back positive!Now, her whole world is turned upside down, as she's thrown into the St. Nicholas Containment Facility for Juvenile Unnaturals. If she is to survive, she must make a new life for herself, as her old one is lost forever. She finds new friends, builds a new family, and discovers a new purpose in life: to save all these innocent kids from these Supernatural Internment Camps.
