Synopsis "Confidently Confused: Everyone has a book in them, Not everyone has three! (in English)"

Everyone has one good book in them. It doesn't mean that they have three. Rodney Wells wrote a good first novel, and was signed to a three book deal, enabling him to give up his job. Unfortunately since then he has divorced and his second book was disappointing. If he does not produce something better by the deadline in two months' time his world is likely to collapse. The trouble is that he is over optimistic, badly organised and lacks the focus to complete it.This humorous book tracks his increasingly desperate attempts to gain inspiration and produce another winner, against a comic background of being accused of being a terrorist and pervert, trying to steal his own manuscript, being the subject of a voodoo curse, and battles with call centres, potential girlfriends, a newspaper reporter and readers on his web forum. Then of course there is his increasingly irate agent and scheming publisher to deal with. It culminates in a disastrous visit to a literary festival but ends with a subtle twist that resolves his problem, but not quite in the way that anyone may imagine. There are also some of Rodney's wry and eccentric observations on the publishing industry, multi-tasking, police, Suffolk country pubs, exercise, Prog Rock music, writers groups, doctor's receptionists, village life, art exhibitions, folk clubs and the many modern fashions that he as a grumpy, fat and balding fifty five year old privately fumes about. The geographic background is mainly the author's home county of Suffolk, and the action all takes place over a one month period.
