Synopsis "Does Nora Five-element Acupuncture Depend mostly on Psychological Effect? (in English)"
Acupuncture has been studied in western countries for more than 50 years. Some of the researchers concluded that the acupuncture therapy is simply a kind of placebo effect. We have had several individual books and articles checked the reasons for how these researchers come to such a conclusion. In my opinion, their wrong conclusion is mostly due improper ways of acupuncture research design and practice. However we noticed that there is indeed a special kind of "acupuncture' system that might indeed mostly depends on such placebo effect. This acupuncture system is the Nora Five-element Acupuncture system. The presence of such acupuncture in practice might be one of the reasons that make some acupuncture researchers believe that acupuncture as a whole also a placebo effect. This book specifically discusses the reasons why this kind of acupuncture system might be more depending on placebo effect.
