Sebastian Eberz entwickelt „FSim“ als interaktive, Szenario-basierte Computersimulation, die effektuatives und kausales Verhalten in einer virtuellen Umgebung zulässt und erfassbar macht. Es wird gezeigt, dass der Effectuation-Ansatz als moderne Entrepreneurship-Theorie und Alternative zum traditionellen Ansatz (Causation) bislang nur ansatzweise die Rolle der Persönlichkeit für das Gründungsverhalten adressierte. Zudem stehen vor allem erfahrene Entrepreneure im Vordergrund. Die durchgeführte theoretische Analyse und eine empirische Studie zeigen jedoch, dass auch unerfahrene Entrepreneure grundlegend effektuatives und kausales Verhalten aufweisen, das von der Persönlichkeit in Abhängigkeit von der Umgebungsunsicherheit beeinflusst wird.
