Synopsis "Efforts to Make a Difference: Reflections of a Hospice Chaplain"

"I always wanted to make a difference. But my plan for making a difference wasn't the same as God's plan for me. Surrendering my life to Jesus, allowing Him to redirect me, made all the difference in being able to make that meaningful difference." God took a young man's dream of owning a new radio station and turned it toward a desire to help hurting people deal with death, dying and grief as a hospice chaplain. This book is the testimony of the Lord using a person, working through them, and making a difference in other's lives. Efforts to Make a Difference: Reflections of a Hospice Chaplain is a retired hospice chaplain's testimony, patient stories, thoughts on patient care, grief and bereavement recovery, spiritual insights, and perspectives for anyone considering being a hospice chaplain. The Lord used all the life and business experiences of the past to lead Craig Falkenstine into a unique ministry as a hospice chaplain and pastoral counselor. The Lord used Craig's experiences in over thirty-five total years in the home care and hospice field to... "make an effort to make a difference" in the lives of others. Craig's experience in dealing with "death and dying" has given him a unique bereavement perspective that helped Craig to be one of the founders and president of the West Virginia Family Grief Center in Morgantown, WV. He is a graduate of West Virginia University and Crossroads Theological Seminary. He serves as Elder Emeritus and former Head Elder of the Morgantown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Morgantown, WV. He and his wife Ann have four children (Kristy, Mark, Kelly, and Evan) and have nine grandchildren (Zane, Levi, Declan, Asher, Rogan, Myla, Caden, Felix and Olivia).
