Synopsis "El Gato con Botas"

Hace mucho tiempo, en un molino harinero vivía un señor con sus tres hijos. Cuando el molinero murió, los hijos se dividieron la herencia. El mayor se quedó con el molino, el segundo tomó el burro y el más joven sólo recibió el gato. El hijo más joven se preguntaba qué haría con un gato inútil, pero el gato, confiado, le pidió una bolsa y un par de botas para demostrarle que su herencia no era tan pobre como lo pensaba. Publicado en la antología Cuentos de mamá ganso, en 1697, con el título "El gato maestro", este cuento ha tenido numerosas versiones en todos los idiomas.
