All these sorrows would have been easier to overcome if they had not been poisoned by the furies of politics, by the emotional enclosure of spirits. This book explores the history of the Latin American continent based on emotions and shows how this perspective allows a better understanding of its problems: violence, corruption, lack of social unity, the inefficiency of the State, non-compliance with laws and the difficulties in consolidating democracy.
