The black and white film has an unwarranted bad press by young people is an undeniable sociological evidence. In part because of the inevitable loss of life, but also due to ignorance and lack of proper dissemination. However, it is paradoxical that this smear overlap in time with an almost universal accessibility to all existing film, resulting from the combination of a ubiquitous digital technology and new business models for film culture. Sin embargo, resulta paradójico que ese desprestigio coincida en el tiempo con una accesibilidad casi universal a todo el cine existente, fruto de la combinación entre una tecnología digital ubicua y nuevos modelos de negocio para la cultura cinematográfica. Empezaré contando el final es un texto introductorio y motivador a ese desconocido que es el cine en blanco y negro, escrito para quienes han crecido viendo cine en color y para quienes, ahora mismo, están creciendo con el cine digital. Pero pensado también para servir de apoyo posterior al disfrute de cada película por parte de cualquier espectador, con una adecuada contextualización histórica que sirve de enlace a otros títulos que profundizan lo aprendido, y sin olvidar que ver cine debe ser, ante todo, una experiencia gratificante.
