Escrita originalmente en latin por el cabalista judio Benjamin Musafia, esta Epistola sobre el oro potable se publico  por primera vez en 1640 en Hamburgo, pero desaparecio misteriosamente sin que se haya podido aclarar por que. No fue hasta el ano 1694  cuando aparecio de nuevo en el tratado Ovum hermetico-paracelsico-trismegistum de Johann  Ludwig  Hannemann, que le dedica grandes elogios. La presente edicion, preparada por Carmen de la Maza, incluye el facsimil de la de Hannemann, asi como extracto del Sefer haZohar y el Esh Mezareph dedicados al apasionante simbolismo del oro. / This Epistle, originally written in latin by Benjamin Musafia, was published in 1640, then it mysteriously disappeared. In 1694 it appeared again in the O. Hermetico-Paracelsico-Trismegistum, by Johann Ludwig Hannemann. Here Carmen de la Maza includes the facsimile of Hannemann and some interesting extracts dedicated to the gold symbolism.
