This richly illustrated book is about a life in an "unknown galaxy", a place that exists between two cultures and two languages. In our world of global life and travel, such place may sound very familiar to many immigrants to the American continent and world-wide, both recent and seasoned alike. It is also an attempt to bridge these cultures by creating a poetic reference to a familiar childhood stories and fairytales that are universal and yet very unique for each culture. The second volume of the Galactic Tales (Faritales of the Russian Galaxy) is a bilingual edition with poetic stories originally written and Russian and translated into English. Each page of the book has elaborate and dynamic illustrations created by a young artist-illustrator Elizabeth Bueno who brings her own bi-cultural dimension enriched with her Colombian and American heritage.
