Katie Hunter didn't believe in vampires until they found her and changed her life forever. Katie is in San Sebastian, Spain, ready to break up with her boyfriend when she starts to hear voices in her head. At first, she thinks it's the alcohol, but when she hears them while sober she starts to wonder if she is going insane. Vince, the muscle bound, ex-gladiator, vampire convinces her that she isn't losing her mind, but the daughter of their creator, the goddess Asteria. Miguel, the sexy, debonair, narcissistic, vampire king of San Sebastian, is drawn to Katie and does not know why. He does everything in his power to keep her in town, then lures her to his home to find out why he is so enamored with her. Katie must choose who to trust: the vampire who gave her a place to stay and lavished her with gifts, or the one who speaks cryptically and lurks in the shadows.
