Synopsis "Frankenstein"

En Frankenstein, novela escrita por la joven Shelley a la edad de veintiún años, se narra la obsesión de un científico por crear vida a partir de la materia inerte. Luego de extraños experimentos, no demasiado explicados, crea el monstruo que va exterminando a todos los seres que rodean a su creador. El horror y el desprecio de los demás lo recluyen en la soledad, pero a medida que adquiere el lenguaje se va haciendo humano. Es probable que la autora persiguiera una intención crítica al mismo tiempo que presentaba, de manera bastante pesimista, una visión utópica de costumbres y educación alternativas.
