Synopsis "Gagoon (in English)"
Gagoon, ostensibly a science fiction novel, is in reality a short story collection masquerading as a novel. The main character, Gagoon, a visitor from another dimension, has been helping U.S. writers sell their stories for several hundred years and now chooses as his writing partner a young law school professor from the city of Boston. Because of his other-earthly appearance, however, those around him, including the law professor's wife and two children, with the exception of his writing partner, believe him to be simply the law professor's loyal dog. Throughout the course of their partnership, they quarrel, live together, and write novels, short stories, law review articles, and magazine articles and become a popular writing team (with only the law professor actually getting credit for the writing, however).
