Susan Blackwell Jones was born and raised in the mountain state of West Virginia. Her life has been blessed with a loving and encouraging family, many dear friends and mentors whom God has placed along her journey. She received an A.S Degree from Bluefield College and a B.S Degree in Elementary Education from Concord College. Susan and husband Tom have been married 47 years and have two grown daughters and their husbands, and three grandchildren. Living in Virginia, Susan taught first and second grades in public schools for 34 years, never imagining the new path God would lead her on in retirement. A simple choice to go to a Bible Study at her church would result in her leading the Bible Study and the beginning of God's gifting her with these amazing poems. Realizing more and more the need for people today to hear words of encouragement and hope, the poems have been a vehicle to begin conversations with others about Christ, express love and compassion to those in need, and to enhance spiritual growth through Bible Study and daily devotion.
