Synopsis "Healing Falls (in English)"
Cinnamon and her sister are ducking and hiding for their lives. Will the gunmen who shot their father come after them next? Just when Cinny's returning to her edgy art, creating a safe home for her children, she relapses and lands in the hospital, pregnant, with criminal charges pending. Will this be her healing fall? Back inside, Cinny gives birth in shackles and has to give up her baby. Aching for her child, she seeks comfort by graffiti-tagging the chaplain's office. Chaplain Hope is at first annoyed, but gradually won over. Together they develop a vision for prison reform. But in the process, Cinny is sent to solitary for not revealing what she knew about a drug ring operating inside. Isolated in lockup, Cinny feels all is lost. Unless she can sketch a way out. Along the way, Cinny touches and affects many lives: a human trafficking victim seeking clemency, a woman pressured to give up her baby for adoption, and a bitter guard who acts heroically in a tornado. The chaplain transforms her rigid thinking, finds a true friend in the warden, and her faith restored in her family. Also, through Cinny's intervention, her dorm assistant is given back a life she thought she'd lost. In the end, Cinny discovers a dream even bigger than she can ask or imagine.
