Heinrich Mann (* 27. März 1871 in Lübeck; + 11. März 1950 in Santa Monica, Kalifornien) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller und der ältere Bruder von Thomas Mann, in dessen Schatten er stets stand. Ab 1930 war er Präsident der Preu ischen Akademie der Künste, aus der er nach der nationalsozialistischen Machtergreifung ausgeschlossen wurde. Mann, der bis 1933 meist in München gelebt hatte, emigrierte zunächst nach Frankreich, dann in die USA. Im Exil verfasste er zahlreiche Arbeiten, darunter viele antifaschistische Texte.
