Jade Kincaid is a drop-dead handsome and very wealthy cattle rancher. He believes his life is complete when he marries a beautiful woman and she bears him a son. But Michele soon begins to hate life as a rancher's wife. She plots to leave Jade and escape to the city. When Jade discovers Michele has been unfaithful to him, he puts her out of his life immediately. But now he is bitter and has no faith in love. Raine Taylor has loved Jade since she was sixteen.
