Synopsis "In der Strafkolonie (in German)"

In Kafkas Erzählung begibt sich ein Forschungsreisender in eine Strafkolonie auf einer Insel, wo ihm das Rechtssystem vorgeführt wird. Jeder Angeklagte erhält demnach ein nicht-revisionsfähiges Urteil und im Anschluss daran eine minutiös festgelegte Behandlung die mit Folter beginnt und dem Tod endet. Dabei werden dem Opfer moralische Botschaften in den Leib geschrieben. Letztes Endes nimmt die Vorführung allerdings eine unerwartete Wendung und der Forschungsreisende verlässt die Strafkolonie.
