Delight and direction...You're the Source, oh Lord!"I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart."(Psalm 40:8, NKJV)"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."(Psalm 119:105, NKJV)In Step with the Spirit brought Donna, educated as a registered nurse, into the parsonage as she married her husband, Niles. (He was already pastoring in a small eastern Ontario town.) Together, they understood that the "call" was always to listen for the "voice" of the Shepherd. What a thrill, in hindsight, to reflect on the "steps taken" to follow! In sharing many of them in this devotional-style book, we sense the pattern shown us by Paul with Timothy. The things that you have learned from us pass on to others who will be able to, in turn, pass them on again! The kingdom of God is here, taking one step at a time with the Good Shepherd leading the way through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Jesus taught by means of "stories." This is something of "our" story!We share it with the desire that it will inspire the reader to the greatest thrill in life, that of "hearing" His voice and doing what He says!
